MAP Service Centre

Equipment for fundamental research is in most of the cases not to be sold on the market. A lot of the required tools are either not existing or only in parts, because they are planned for another application. The MAP Servicecenter is therefore charged to provide the cluster with all required tools. It consists of three departments:

Multilayer coating laboratories

Femtosecond and attosecond laser pulses for different applications need special equipment, first of all appropriate mirrors.

Target lab

Production of targets for acceleration experiments.

Engineering office and workshops

Individual development and construction of mechanical laser assemblies and components, consulting.
